What Landlord Vision says it does for MTD

According to its MTD page and FAQ (MTD page; FAQ):

Joint ownership

Landlord Vision says you set the ownership percentage at portfolio level, property level, or both, and it apportions income and expenditure to each owner automatically when submitting. It also says each owner signs up for MTD individually and files their own quarterly updates, while everything can be held in one Landlord Vision account with access to the relevant portfolios (FAQ; knowledge base).

That fits HMRC's rule that, if you're in MTD, you keep records of your share of jointly let property (GOV.UK). See MTD software for joint owners for how other providers describe this.

Overseas property

Landlord Vision says it reports UK and overseas property as separate property businesses, each with its own quarterly updates, and that overseas tax paid is handled through Foreign Tax Credit Relief at the final declaration (FAQ). HMRC's rules require separate digital records for each foreign property, reported together as one foreign property business (GOV.UK). If you let property abroad, ask the provider how it keeps per-property records within that business. See MTD software for foreign property.

Self-employment alongside property

The provider says it supports self-employed portfolios for sole trade income and expenses, and that a sole trade needs its own self-employed portfolio. It also says you can file property income through Landlord Vision and self-employment through other software (FAQ). HMRC allows a separate product for each income source (GOV.UK). See software for landlords who are also sole traders.

Working with an accountant

Landlord Vision says you can invite your accountant as a team member so they can submit MTD data for you (FAQ). If your accountant is your agent for MTD, they'll also need to be authorised with HMRC. See DIY or accountant for MTD.

Pricing

Landlord Vision prices its plans by number of tenancies, says every plan includes its MTD features at no extra cost, and shows prices excluding VAT. When we checked on 18 October 2026, its pricing page showed several figures per plan, including discounted and promotional prices, so we haven't reproduced them here: see the current price on the provider's site (pricing).
